The Sentry 8501 Portal and Area Monitor is a high efficiency radiation monitoring system with a built-in multichannel analyzer for isotope identification. Designed with maximum flexibility in mind, the Sentry 8501 can be used as a continuous area and portal monitor, with or without audio and visual alarm activation.
The system requires no operator intervention or extensive training. When a radiation event occurs, local alarms are triggered, the date and time are recorded, the location of the area is noted, the event is photographed, the radioactive material is identified, a isotope spectrum is recorded, and remote notification can occur - all within 2 seconds!
